Kitron COO resigns; responsibilities split between CTO, new commercial director

Kitron announced today, September 25, 2025, that Kristoffer Asklov, its chief operating officer, has resigned to take on a CEO position at a Swedish industrial company. Asklov, with Kitron's executive management for four years, will remain through the fourth quarter to ensure a smooth transition, departing at the end of the year. Kitron CEO Peter Nilsson thanked Asklov for his leadership and contributions.

Asklov's responsibilities will be divided between two individuals: Stian Haugen, the current chief technology officer, and Hasse Faxe, who will join executive management as commercial director. Haugen has been at Kitron since 2013 and held the CTO role since 2020. Faxe, who joined Kitron through the acquisition of BB Electronics in 2022, is currently the global sales director.

Kitron, a leading Scandinavian electronics manufacturing company, reported operating revenues of €647 million in 2024 and employs approximately 2,400 staff across ten countries.
