Cadeler secures new Polish offshore wind installation contract with Ocean Winds

Cadeler A/S has signed a contract with Ocean Winds for the transportation and installation of 26 Siemens Gamesa 14MW offshore wind turbines at the BC-Wind farm in the Polish Baltic Sea. The contract, valued between €49m and €58m, follows a Vessel Reservation Agreement from February 2025. This project, Ocean Winds' first in Poland, will have a total capacity of up to 390 MW, capable of powering nearly half a million Polish households.

Installation is scheduled to begin in 2028 and last approximately four months, utilizing one of Cadeler's O-class wind turbine installation vessels operating from the Port of Gdansk. This agreement marks Cadeler and Ocean Winds' first direct contractual partnership, building on previous collaborations. Cadeler chief executive Mikkel Gleerup emphasized Poland's emergence as a crucial offshore wind market.

This new contract further solidifies Cadeler's strong presence in Poland. The company began installation work on the Baltic Power project in July, which will be Poland's first offshore wind farm. Cadeler also secured contracts in February 2024 for the Baltica 2 project, and in October 2024 for the Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 wind farms.
