Cambi subsidiary bags major biosolids treatment contract in Norway

Grønn Vekst, part of Cambi's Solutions segment, has secured a "Major" category contract, valued at over NOK 200 million, with Sirkulær Bestiller. The agreement covers biosolids transport, treatment, and final management.

The agreement, expected to be signed after a 12-day standstill period, will commence service delivery on February 1, 2026, and run for six years until January 31, 2032, with two potential one-year extensions. This contract covers approximately 10,000 tonnes of biosolids annually from municipalities including Bamble, Holmestrand, Horten, and Sandefjord.

The treatment process will use Cambi's thermal hydrolysis technology at the new Krogstad sludge treatment centre in Lillestrøm, near Oslo. The procurement emphasized environmental performance, with climate and environmental criteria accounting for 30% of the evaluation, focusing on biogas-based treatment and low-emission logistics. Price accounted for the remaining 70%.
