Platform Group AG expands furniture portfolio with PMR Handels stake

The Platform Group AG announced that its subsidiary Digitec Living Brands GmbH has acquired a stake in Berlin-based PMR Handels GmbH. PMR Handels GmbH operates various online shops, including Sofa-dreams.com, and distributes products from its affiliated partners across more than 12 countries within the furniture sector. PMR Handels GmbH will maintain operational independence, with Harald Rexilius continuing to lead the management team.

Dr. Dominik Benner, chief executive of The Platform Group AG, stated that this investment systematically pursues their platform approach in furniture retail, further expanding their presence in the industry. Christopher Lauth, managing director of Digitec Living Brands GmbH, added that the strategic investment aims to connect more furniture manufacturers to their platforms, reduce logistics costs through efficiency gains, and lower marketing expenses via TPG solutions.

The Platform Group AG is active in 27 industries, serving both B2B and B2C customers, including sectors such as machinery retail, dental technology, and luxury fashion. The Group has 19 locations across Europe and is headquartered in Düsseldorf. In 2024, the company realized sales of €525m and an adjusted EBITDA of €33m.
