Panoro Energy appoints experienced oil and gas veteran as new COO and president

Panoro Energy ASA announced the appointment of Eric d'Argentré as its new chief operating officer and president, effective September 9, 2025. This strategic hire is expected to bolster Panoro's senior management as the company continues to establish itself as a significant independent oil producer in Africa.

Mr. d'Argentré brings nearly three decades of extensive operational, drilling, field development, HSE, and project delivery experience from Perenco, a leading private oil and gas producer. His prior roles at Perenco include group operation manager and managing director for operations across various jurisdictions like Cameroon (80,000 boepd), UK (100,000 boepd), Colombia (24,000 bopd), Ecuador (30,000 bopd), and Turkey (13,000 bopd).

CEO John Hamilton highlighted Eric's "considerable experience in managing operations, engineering and delivering complex projects" as invaluable for achieving Panoro's next phase of growth and value creation.
