Wallenius Wilhelmsen wins major Australian automotive logistics contract

Wallenius Wilhelmsen ASA has secured a logistics contract in Australia with a large automotive manufacturer, projected to generate revenues exceeding $100 million. The company will provide vehicle processing services in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. This agreement expands Wallenius Wilhelmsen's presence in Oceania and is expected to enhance the customer's control over their logistics value chain.

The contract has an initial duration of three years, with a mutual one-year option. The revenue projection of over $100 million is based on the assumption that this one-year option is declared.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen specializes in roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) shipping and vehicle logistics, operating approximately 128 vessels, 15 trade routes, 66 processing centers, and eight marine terminals globally. Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, the group employs around 12,000 people across 28 countries.
