Fjellinjen sees traffic rise, zero-emission vehicles gain share

Fjellinjen recorded 35.4 million passings across its 83 toll stations in Stor-Oslo during August 2025, a 2.9 percent increase compared to August 2024. This growth reflects the overall traffic volume for both heavy and light vehicles.

A key highlight is the continued strong adoption of zero-emission vehicles, which accounted for 48.9 percent of all passings in August. This represents a substantial 5 percentage point increase from the same period last year. Notably, electric cars saw a 4.6 percentage point rise, now making up 44.1 percent of "Liten bil" passings, while electric vans increased by 0.4 percentage points to 3.5 percent.

While diesel and petrol cars saw decreases of 2.5 and 2.0 percentage points respectively, the total "Liten bil" segment grew by 0.5 percentage points. In the "Stor bil" category, zero-emission vehicles maintained their share, while Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles experienced minor declines.
