Subsea7 secures two major cable installation contracts in Taiwan

Subsea7 S.A., through its Seaway7 unit, has been awarded a substantial contract by Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) for the Formosa 4 Wind Farm in Taiwan. The contract involves the transport and installation of 35 inter-array cables for the 495 MW offshore site, located approximately 20 kilometres off Miaoli County. Offshore works are anticipated to begin in 2028. Subsea7 defines a substantial contract as being between $150 million and $300 million.

Additionally, Seaway7 has been named the preferred contractor for the cable installation on SRE's Formosa 6 project. This project includes the transport and installation of 57 inter-array cables, with contract finalisation expected in 2026. These awards mark Subsea7's seventh contract in the Taiwanese market since 2019, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Taiwan's offshore wind energy goals.
