Boliden secures Laver processing concession for European copper supply

Boliden’s application for a processing concession for the Laver deposit has been approved by Bergstaten as of September 2, 2025. This concession grants the right to extract copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum. Stefan Romedahl, director Boliden Mines, highlighted that the Laver deposit could significantly contribute to Europe's copper supply. Further development will include additional exploration, technical studies, and environmental assessments.

Beyond the processing concession, an environmental permit, including a Natura 2000 permit, is still required before any investment decision can be made. The decision on the processing concession can be appealed to the government within three weeks.
