Karbon Equity reports Q2 2025 loss amid strategic portfolio shifts

Karbon Equity AS, controlled by Karbon Invest AS, announced a Q2 2025 net loss of NOK 12,085,158, driven primarily by interest and other operating expenses. The company’s total assets stood at NOK 1,174,698,709 as of Q2 2025. During the quarter, Karbon Equity made new investments, including NOK 8.0 million in Lettbutikk and NOK 6.5 million in TSGG, while divesting Samfunnsbygg for NOK 54.1 million.

A private placement by Pet Pawr Group AB on July 11 raised SEK 60.0 million. Karbon Equity AS and Karbon Invest AS increased their combined ownership in Pet Pawr Group from 15.67% to 15.71%. The company also completed a demerger in Kelvin Group AS, creating Photosynthetic AS, and is establishing an SPV structure for its Kelvin Group AS ownership.

Despite the Q2 loss, Karbon Equity paid a dividend of NOK 20 million to Karbon Invest AS, adhering to bond terms allowing up to NOK 40 million in annual distribution, provided the loan-to-value ratio does not exceed 35%. The overall portfolio, excluding Karbon Eiendom AS and the Issuer, showed improved performance with a 5% increase in net sales and a 4% rise in gross margin compared to the previous year.
