Shearwater wins deepwater OBN survey in Ghana's Jubilee and TEN fields

Shearwater Geoservices AS has been awarded a deepwater Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) seismic survey in Ghana's Jubilee and TEN fields. This marks the first deepwater OBN project offshore Ghana, following Shearwater's successful deployments in Côte d'Ivoire and Angola. The two-month survey is scheduled to commence in the final quarter of 2025.

The project will utilize the SW Tasman vessel and Pearl node OBN platform. This survey follows a streamer survey previously executed by Shearwater over the same Jubilee and TEN fields in early 2025, and is expected to enhance reservoir imaging and inform future field development strategies.

Shearwater chief executive Irene Waage Basili highlighted the company's role in pioneering new technology and opening "new geophysical frontiers" in the region.
