Elliptic Labs expands AI virtual smart sensors to consumer laptops

Elliptic Labs has signed a multi-year license agreement with an existing laptop customer, extending its AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform to consumer laptops and PC accessories. This builds on a recent commercial laptop agreement with the same PC OEM, significantly broadening the platform's deployment across both commercial and consumer markets.

The customer will embed Elliptic Labs' AI platform directly into its proprietary software stack, rather than using a third-party app. This strategic integration, decided in June 2025, streamlines deployment, reduces external software reliance, and positions Elliptic Labs as foundational to the customer’s long-term smart device strategy. Chief executive Laila Danielsen highlighted the rapid expansion of their laptop contract portfolio, underscoring the customer's commitment and the platform's relevance in the product roadmap within the largest global laptop segment.

Elliptic Labs’ AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform, currently deployed in over 500 million devices, utilizes deep neural networks and system-level telemetry data with cloud-based Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance contextual intelligence. This allows devices to better understand and respond to their environment, improving personalization, privacy, and productivity for users worldwide.
