Boliden opposes Finnish mining tax hike citing €30m costs

Boliden has formally contested proposed Finnish tax increases on mining activities that would raise annual costs at its Kevitsa copper and nickel mine by €20-30m, largely due to a quadrupling of the mining tax.

The company argues the proposals lack proper impact assessments and should be withdrawn, warning of negative effects on Europe's critical raw material supply and investment climate.
