Cambi acquires majority stake in German wastewater firm

Cambi ASA has acquired a 51% equity interest in CNP CYCLES GmbH, a German specialist in nutrient recovery and energy-efficient wastewater solutions. The cash acquisition expands Cambi's technology portfolio beyond thermal hydrolysis and strengthens its position in Europe's largest sludge treatment market.

CNP CYCLES, with 10 employees, reported revenues of €3.0 million in 2024 and operated just above break-even EBITDA. The enterprise value for 100% of CNP CYCLES is around NOK 15-50 million. Current shareholders retain 49% ownership, with a pathway for Cambi to acquire full ownership after five years.
