OBOS swings to Q2 loss despite sales jump

OBOS reported a pre-tax loss of NOK 10 million in Q2 2025, down from NOK 488 million profit in the same period last year, due to fewer home deliveries and increased material and financing costs.

The urban and timber-frame housing divisions recorded a combined pre-tax loss of NOK 449 million for the first half of 2025.

However, housing sales increased 23% year-over-year to 1,460 units in Q2. Project initiations surged 69% to 1,179 homes in the first half.
