Kiwi Property appoints Shaun Reed as general manager capital transactions

Kiwi Property announced the immediate appointment of Shaun Reed to the newly created role of general manager capital transactions, effective December 22, 2025. This move elevates a critical function to the executive level, signaling increased focus on transactional activity to support the company's mixed-use development strategy and growth ambitions.

Reed joined Kiwi Property in 2022, previously serving as head of capital transactions and investment director. During his tenure, he played a key role in major initiatives, including the company's investment in Mackersy Property and the recent sale of The Plaza. With over 20 years of experience in real estate investment and funds management, he brings a background that includes senior leadership positions at LaSalle Investment Management in the UK, and investment/valuation roles at AMP Capital and CBRE.

Kiwi Property chief executive Clive Mackenzie emphasized Reed's deep expertise and proven track record in complex deals as instrumental for executing the company's long-term growth strategy. The company also confirmed it has begun recruitment for a new chief financial officer following Steve Penney's resignation.
