Tourism Holdings to close Brisbane factory, consolidate RV production in NZ

Tourism Holdings Limited (thl) announced it will close its RV manufacturing factory in Brisbane, Australia, effective December 19, 2025, and transition all production to Action Manufacturing in Hamilton, New Zealand. This strategic move is expected to result in approximately 110 frontline and support role reductions in Australia, with some frontline roles potentially offset by increased production in New Zealand in 2026. The company also anticipates exiting its Brisbane factory lease in 2026.

This decision follows a comprehensive review and is attributed to a sustained downturn in the broader Australian RV manufacturing industry, consolidation of thl's dealership footprint, and the completion of a significant part of its Australasian fleet regrowth program. Grant Webster, chief executive, stated that fleet numbers across Australasia have grown by 45% over the past two financial years.

The consolidation is expected to deliver substantial and ongoing overhead cost savings by allowing thl to immediately capture cost advantage opportunities and maintain strong overhead leverage. The company remains committed to the Australian market, emphasizing its strong RV rental business and forward order book.
