Contact Energy unveils "Contact31+" renewable energy strategy

Contact Energy has launched its Contact31+ strategy, outlining plans to spearhead New Zealand's renewable energy future. This strategy aims to solidify Contact's position as a geothermal leader, introduce new flexibility into the energy system, and boost generation capacity through wind and solar power, driving the domestic energy transition.

chief executive Mike Fuge highlighted the strong performance against the previous Contact26 strategy over the past five years, with the most recent year being particularly significant. He emphasized the necessity of maintaining momentum to meet New Zealand's growing demand for renewable energy and flexibility.

The Capital Markets Day 2025, hosted today, will detail the Contact31+ strategy. Presentations are scheduled from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm NZDT, with a livestream accessible via registration and a recording to be posted on the investor presentations page.
