AFIC announces two special dividends for 2026

The Australian Foundation Investment Company (AFIC) has announced its intention to distribute two fully franked special dividends of AUD 0.025 per share in 2026. These dividends aim to distribute a portion of the company's substantial franking credits built up through realised capital gains.

The first special dividend will be paid with the interim dividend, expected to be announced with interim results on January 21, 2026. The second special dividend, also fully franked, will accompany the final dividend, anticipated to be declared with financial year results on July 27, 2026.

Beyond these announced distributions, AFIC's board of directors will evaluate further capital management strategies for the upcoming financial year, considering the remaining balance of franking credits and future realised capital gains.
