On October 30, 2025, Leanne Hopkins, spouse of Mercury NZ's chief finance officer Richard Hopkins, acquired an additional 23,000 ordinary shares in the company. This purchase, valued at NZD 149,205.62, was executed by Custodial Services Limited. Following this transaction, the total number of ordinary shares held by Richard Hopkins's spouse, for which he has a relevant interest, increased from 0 to 30,900.

The transaction involved an off-market transfer of 7,900 shares from Leanne Hopkins with no stated consideration, alongside the acquisition of the 23,000 shares. Richard Hopkins holds a relevant interest in these securities through his spouse, granting him power to exercise or control voting rights.

The disclosure, made on November 6, 2025, confirmed that these transactions did not occur during a closed period, and therefore, no prior written clearance was required. Rebecca Woolacott, legal and commercial manager, certified the disclosure.
