Air New Zealand completes share buyback, including Crown stake

Air New Zealand has completed a substantial share buyback, acquiring a total of 3,520,751 ordinary shares. This comprises 1,724,895 shares purchased on the NZX and ASX, and an additional 1,795,856 shares acquired off-market from the Crown. The acquisitions were part of a board-approved buy-back program announced on 20 February 2025.

The average acquisition price for shares on the NZX was NZD $0.6078, while shares acquired on the ASX averaged AUD $0.5314. The off-market acquisition from the Crown was priced at NZD $0.6083 per share. All acquisitions were made for cash and are paid in full. The total number of ordinary shares after these transactions, excluding treasury stock, stands at 3,242,830,584.

These acquired shares will not be held as treasury stock and are slated for cancellation. Shares from the NZX and ASX acquisitions on 05/11/2025 will be settled and cancelled by 07/11/2025, while shares acquired off-market from the Crown on 06/11/2025 will be settled and cancelled by 10/11/2025. This buyback represents 0.1085% of the total class of financial products.
