Air New Zealand completes share buyback program, acquires 2.7m shares

Air New Zealand has completed the acquisition of 2,763,670 ordinary shares through its previously announced on-market and off-market buyback programs. This acquisition includes 1,353,984 ordinary shares from on-market purchases on NZX and ASX, and 1,409,686 ordinary shares acquired off-market from the Crown. The total percentage of the class of financial products acquired is 0.0844%.

The on-market acquisitions were priced at an average of NZD $0.5935 for shares on NZX and AUD $0.5221 for shares on ASX. The off-market acquisition from the Crown was priced at NZD $0.5936 per share. All acquisitions were paid in full with cash, and the acquired shares will be cancelled rather than held as treasury stock.

Settlement and cancellation for shares acquired on NZX and ASX occurred on October 2, 2025, following the acquisition date of September 30, 2025. Shares acquired off-market from the Crown on October 1, 2025, will be settled and cancelled on October 3, 2025. Following these transactions, the total number of ordinary shares (excluding treasury stock) stands at 3,272,038,021.
