Meridian Energy issues NZD 350m in green bonds

Meridian Energy Limited has issued 350,000,000 unsecured, unsubordinated green bonds, totaling NZD 350,000,000. Each bond was issued at NZD 1.00 per bond, fully paid in cash, representing 100% of the MEL080 bonds. The proceeds are earmarked for allocation in accordance with MEL's Green Finance Framework.

The bonds were issued under a Master Trust Deed dated December 1, 2008, as amended, and a Supplemental Trust Deed dated September 1, 2025. Following this transaction, the total number of financial products of this class in existence are MEL060 - 200,000,000, MEL070 - 300,000,000, and MEL080 - 350,000,000, with no treasury stock held. The capital change was authorized by board resolutions dated July 22, 2025, with the effective date of issue being September 12, 2025.
