Templeton Emerging Markets Trust: Share buyback coincides with major holding change

City of London Investment Management Company Limited has notified Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC of a change in its major holding. The threshold was crossed on 3 September 2025, with notification on 5 September 2025. This resulted in 23.940000% of voting rights, representing 233,809,520 shares, a decrease from the previous 24.996000%. City of London Investment Management Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of City of London Investment Group plc.

Concurrently, Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC announced a transaction in its own shares on 5 September 2025, purchasing for cancellation 273,905 Ordinary shares at 201.73 pence per share. Following this, the company's share capital consists of 976,152,517 shares in issue, with an additional 60,000,000 shares held in Treasury. The total number of voting rights in the company is now 976,152,517.

The unaudited cum-income net asset value (NAV) of TEMIT as at 4 September 2025 was £2,162.400m, representing a NAV of 221.46 pence per share. The unaudited ex-income NAV on the same date was £2,132.796m, or 218.42 pence per share.
