Air New Zealand completes share buyback, reduces outstanding shares

Air New Zealand Limited has completed the acquisition of 2,123,176 ordinary shares, representing 0.0644% of its total class of financial products. This includes 1,040,191 shares acquired on NZX and ASX, and 1,082,985 shares acquired off-market from the Crown. The average acquisition price was NZD $0.6049 for NZX shares, AUD $0.5426 for ASX shares, and NZD $0.6048 for shares from the Crown.

The acquisitions were part of a Board-approved buy-back programme announced on February 20, 2025. All acquired shares will be cancelled and will not be held as treasury stock. After these transactions, the total number of ordinary shares excluding treasury stock stands at 3,292,697,970, with 93 shares held as Treasury Stock.

Shares acquired on NZX and ASX on September 5, 2025, are scheduled for settlement and cancellation on September 9, 2025. The off-market shares acquired from the Crown on September 8, 2025, will be settled and cancelled on September 10, 2025.
