Metro Glass announces key leadership changes, strategic advisor role for outgoing CEO

Metro Glass announced significant organizational changes, effective September 1, 2025. Steve Hamer, previously CEO of AGG, will retire from his role at the end of September but will transition to a part-time strategic advisor position. In this new capacity, Hamer will collaborate with Simon Bennett to explore future growth opportunities for the business.

The company has appointed Jason McGrath, currently AGG CFO, as the new country manager. McGrath, described as a seasoned executive with a strong commercial background, played a key role in the AGG turnaround during his eight-year tenure as CFO. This internal appointment is crucial for the company.

Concurrently, Simon Bennett, who has been leading the business as executive director since May of last year, has been appointed managing director. This appointment is effective immediately and reflects Bennett's ongoing leadership and commitment to steering the company through its capital changes and business turnaround. Jason McGrath will report directly to Simon Bennett.
