Australian Foundation Investment Company to list 8m new shares

On Thursday, August 28, 2025, Australian Foundation Investment Company Limited (AFI) will list 8,148,509 new ordinary fully paid shares on the ASX. These shares are being issued under the company's dividend or distribution plan.

The total number of new shares comprises two tranches. The first tranche, consisting of 6,929,932 shares, was issued for a cash consideration of A$7.35000000 per security under the Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP). The second tranche, totaling 1,218,577 shares, was issued at nil cost under the Dividend Substitution Share Plan.

Following this quotation, the total number of quoted ordinary fully paid securities for AFI on the ASX will increase to 1,262,207,105. The company confirmed that these new securities will rank equally in all respects with existing issued securities from their issue date. The issue falls under Listing Rule 7.2 exception 4, negating the need for security holder approval.
