Air New Zealand names new chief executive

Air New Zealand announced Nikhil Ravishankar as its new chief executive officer, effective October 20, 2025, succeeding Greg Foran. Ravishankar is currently the airline's chief digital officer.

For June 2025, group capacity decreased 0.7% year-over-year due to reduced aircraft availability from engine maintenance. However, passenger load factor improved 2.3 percentage points to 82.5%.

Year-to-date underlying revenue per available seat kilometre improved 1.9% for the group, with long-haul up 2.0% and short-haul up 0.9%.
