Meridian Energy retail sales jump 7.9% in June

Meridian Energy reported June 2025 retail sales volumes were 7.9% higher than June 2024, with residential sales up 12.7%, small-medium business up 6.3%, large business up 15.2%, agriculture up 5.5%, and corporate up 4.5%.

National hydro storage increased to 104% of the historical average by July 14, 2025, from 94%. Meridian's June monthly inflows were 111% of the historical average.
