Auckland Airport posts modest 1% passenger growth

Auckland Airport experienced a 1% rise in total passenger movements in June 2025, reaching 1,376,788. International passengers rose 1% to 751,124, despite a 27% decline in transit movements. Excluding transits, international passenger movements increased 4%.

International load factors averaged 81%, up 2.4 percentage points year-on-year. Domestic passenger movements grew 2% to 625,664, though domestic load factors declined 2.5 percentage points to 80% as seat capacity increased 5%.

Queenstown Airport saw a 4% increase in total passengers to 173,944, with international passengers surging 6% and domestic passengers up 3%.
