High court greenlights Contact Energy's acquisition of Manawa

The High Court has approved Contact Energy Limited's (NZX:CEN) proposed scheme of arrangement to acquire 100% of Manawa Energy Limited. This final step in the Scheme's approval process will be implemented on 11 July 2025, pending customary conditions, including no material adverse changes or 'prescribed occurrences' affecting either company. The final sealed orders have been released to the market. Shares offered under the Scheme are available only to eligible Manawa shareholders in New Zealand and Australia. Contact Energy has issued cautionary notes regarding compliance with relevant laws and regulations for parties outside of these jurisdictions.
