Air New Zealand completes share buyback program, acquiring 1.79m shares

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) has announced the acquisition of 1,791,063 of its own ordinary shares as part of its ongoing share buyback program. The acquisition includes 877,482 shares acquired on the NZX and ASX, and 913,581 shares acquired directly from the Crown. The average price paid was NZD 0.5809 for shares on the NZX, AUD 0.5374 for shares on the ASX, and NZD 0.5799 for those purchased from the Crown. The buyback, executed under board approval and in compliance with NZX listing rules, reduces the total number of outstanding ordinary shares to 3,303,824,607, with 93 shares held as Treasury Stock. Acquired shares will be cancelled by July 3, 2025. The buyback represents 0.0542% of the company's total class of financial products, excluding Treasury Stock.
