Air New Zealand continues share buyback program

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) has announced further progress in its share buyback program, acquiring a total of 667,573 ordinary shares. The acquisition includes 327,059 shares purchased on-market across the NZX and ASX, and 340,514 shares acquired off-market from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand, acting through the Minister of Finance. The average prices paid were NZD 0.5736 and AUD 0.5303 per share on the NZX and ASX, respectively, with NZD 0.5726 paid for shares acquired from the Crown. These shares will be cancelled and not held as treasury stock. The on-market acquisitions will settle and be cancelled by June 30, 2025, while the off-market acquisitions will settle and be cancelled by July 1, 2025. After the acquisition, the total number of Air New Zealand ordinary shares, excluding treasury stock, stands at 3,306,652,836. The company holds 93 treasury shares.
