Air New Zealand acquires 2.18m shares

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) announced today the acquisition of 2,181,060 ordinary shares as part of its ongoing share buyback program. The acquisition includes 1,068,550 shares bought on the NZX and ASX, and 1,112,510 shares acquired directly from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand acting by and through the Minister of Finance. The average price paid for shares on the NZX was NZD 0.5723, while on the ASX, it was AUD 0.5299. Shares acquired from the Crown were bought at NZD 0.5721. The total shares acquired represent 0.0659% of the company's outstanding shares. These shares will be cancelled, decreasing the total number of shares after the acquisition to 3,307,320,409. The company currently holds 93 shares as treasury stock. The buyback is authorized by a Board resolution from February 20, 2025.
