Air New Zealand acquires 1.16m ordinary shares

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) announced it has acquired 1,162,825 of its own ordinary shares as part of its ongoing share buy-back program. The acquisition includes 569,694 shares acquired on the NZX and ASX, and 593,131 shares bought off-market from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand acting by and through the Minister of Finance (the Crown). The average price paid per share on the NZX was NZD 0.5758, while shares acquired on the ASX were purchased at an average of AUD 0.5287. The off-market acquisition from the Crown was executed at NZD 0.5745 per share. The buy-back, approved by the Board on February 20, 2025, leaves 3,310,263,076 ordinary shares outstanding, with 93 held as Treasury Stock. All acquired shares will be cancelled.
