Manawa shareholders approve acquisition by Contact Energy

Contact Energy (NZX:CEN) announced that Manawa Energy shareholders have approved the proposed scheme of arrangement, under which Contact will acquire 100% of Manawa. The approval was granted at a special shareholder meeting. Details of the voting thresholds and results are available in the market announcement released by Manawa. The final steps in the Scheme process, including an application to the High Court for final orders, are underway. Implementation of the Scheme is expected to occur on July 11, 2025, subject to court approval and the satisfaction or waiver of all remaining conditions.
