Air New Zealand acquires over 1m shares

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) has announced the acquisition of 1,091,477 ordinary shares as part of its ongoing on-market and off-market buyback program. The acquisition comprises 534,739 shares bought on the NZX and ASX, and 556,738 shares acquired off-market from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand, acting through the Minister of Finance. The average prices paid were NZD 0.5924 for shares on the NZX, AUD 0.5512 for shares on the ASX, and NZD 0.5922 for shares from the Crown. The total acquisition represents 0.0328% of the company's financial products. The acquired shares will be cancelled, and not held as Treasury Stock. Following the acquisition, the total number of ordinary shares is 3,322,283,350 with 93 shares held as Treasury Stock.
