Air New Zealand buys back shares under existing programme

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) announced the acquisition of 539,565 ordinary shares, comprising 264,345 shares on the NZX and ASX, and 275,220 shares directly from the Crown. The average prices paid were NZD 0.5989 and AUD 0.5491, respectively, for the on-market purchases, and NZD 0.5980 for the Crown shares. These acquisitions represent approximately 0.0162% of the company's total issued financial products, excluding treasury stock. Following the buyback, Air New Zealand will have 3,326,453,382 ordinary shares and 93 shares held as treasury stock. Shares purchased will be cancelled, not held as treasury stock, and will be settled and cancelled by 30 May 2025. This buyback is part of the board-approved program announced earlier this year and adheres to NZX listing rules.
