Air New Zealand executes share buyback on NZX, ASX

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) announced today that it has acquired 566,038 of its ordinary shares. This includes 277,315 shares acquired through on-market buyback programmes on the NZX and ASX and 288,723 shares acquired off-market from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand acting by and through the Minister of Finance. The on-market acquisitions were priced at an average of NZD 0.5788 on the NZX and AUD 0.5339 on the ASX. The off-market shares from the Crown were acquired at NZD 0.5785 per share. The acquisitions are part of the buyback program announced on 20 February 2025 and are authorised by a Board resolution. Following the acquisitions, Air New Zealand now has 3,335,741,568 ordinary shares, excluding 93 Treasury Stock, in circulation. The acquired shares will be cancelled. Settlement for NZX and ASX shares will occur on 07/05/2025, while Crown shares will settle on 08/05/2025.
