TruScreen launches major cervical cancer screening program in Vietnam

TruScreen Group (NZX:TRU) announced the launch of a significant cervical cancer screening program in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The five-year initiative, commencing in April 2025, aims to screen 260,000 women for cervical cancer. TruScreen's AI-enabled, real-time, non-invasive cervical cancer screening device will serve as the primary methodology. The program, titled 'Community-based Cervical Cancer Screening Program,' is a collaboration between TruScreen, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Health Association (HPHA), and distributor Gorton Health Services (GHS). This partnership follows the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding in November 2024. The program seeks to assist the Vietnamese government in achieving its goal of screening 60% of women aged 30 to 54 for cervical cancer, up from the current 25%. The formal agreement was signed by key representatives from each organization on April 12, 2025. TruScreen CEO Marty Dillon highlighted the potential to save over 2,600 lives through early detection.
