Air New Zealand acquires 703,452 shares in buyback program

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) has announced the acquisition of 703,452 ordinary shares as part of its ongoing buyback program, initiated on February 20, 2025. The acquisition includes 344,637 shares purchased on the NZX and ASX at average prices of NZD 0.5711 and AUD 0.5310, respectively, and 358,815 shares acquired directly from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand, acting through the Minister of Finance, at NZD 0.5703. The total percentage of Financial Products the company issued/acquired/redeemed is approximately 0.0211%. The shares will be cancelled, reducing the total number of outstanding ordinary shares to 3,340,948,006, with 93 shares held as treasury stock. The buyback, authorized by a board resolution and compliant with NZX Listing Rules, aims to return value to shareholders.
