Spark teams with Infosys to transform IT delivery model

Spark New Zealand (NZX:SPK) has announced a strategic agreement with Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE:INFY) to transform its technology delivery model. The collaboration, leveraging Infosys Topaz and Cobalt platforms, aims to reduce IT operating costs and accelerate Spark's digital and AI-driven customer experience strategy. Infosys will provide global DevOps and software engineering capabilities for building, testing, and supporting Spark's systems and applications. Spark will retain control of its IT assets, technology architecture, and product roadmap, while Infosys expands its local workforce to ensure critical support. The agreement forms part of Spark's expanded SPK-26 Operate Programme, which includes a significant transformation of its technology delivery model. Spark anticipates annualised benefits of NZD 110-140 million by FY27 from cost reductions.
