Bremworth CEO Greg Smith resigns after four years

Bremworth (NZX:BRW) announced today that CEO Greg Smith will resign from his position after nearly four years at the helm. The change will be effective April 11, 2025, but Smith will remain with the company until April 30 to assist with the transition. During his tenure, Smith spearheaded a shift toward wool carpets and rugs, aligning Bremworth with New Zealand's farming sector. Key accomplishments include introducing 10-year strong wool contracts, expanding the company's direct-to-consumer e-commerce business, and securing a NZD 100 million insurance settlement following Cyclone Gabrielle. Carpet industry expert Craig Woolford has been appointed as interim CEO for a 12-month period. The company will repurchase shares issued to Greg under the Equity Ownership Plan, with Greg using proceeds to repay a related loan.
