Air New Zealand acquires 425,990 shares in buyback program

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) announced the acquisition of 425,990 ordinary shares as part of its ongoing on-market and off-market buyback programs. The shares were acquired at an average price of NZD 0.5935 for 110,453 shares on the NZX, AUD 0.5398 for 98,249 shares on the ASX, and NZD 0.5906 for 217,288 shares directly from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand acting by and through the Minister of Finance. The buyback, authorized by the Board on February 20, 2025, aims to reduce the number of shares outstanding. The acquired shares will be cancelled and not held as treasury stock. Post-acquisition, Air New Zealand has 3,341,934,027 ordinary shares outstanding, with 93 shares held as Treasury Stock.
