Air New Zealand acquires 638,198 shares in buyback

Air New Zealand (NZX:AIR) announced the acquisition of 638,198 ordinary shares as part of its ongoing share buyback program, initiated on February 20, 2025. The shares were acquired through on-market purchases on the NZX and ASX, and an off-market purchase from the Sovereign in right of New Zealand. A total of 312,717 shares were acquired on the NZX and ASX, while 325,481 shares were acquired directly from the Crown. The average price paid per share was NZD $0.6154 on the NZX, AUD $0.5550 on the ASX and NZD $0.6154 for the shares acquired from the Crown. The total buyback represents 0.0191% of the company's outstanding financial products, excluding treasury stock. The acquired shares will be cancelled, reducing the total number of ordinary shares to 3,344,588,932 with 93 shares held as treasury stock.
