Voltas names Jayant Balan head of AC business

Voltas Limited announced the appointment of Jayant Balan as the head of its Room Air Conditioner Business, effective January 1, 2026. This appointment was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Balan, who joined the Tata Group in 1999 and moved to Voltas in 2001, brings over two and a half decades of experience across various leadership roles including manufacturing, supply chain, strategy, international operations, and consumer durables. Since 2019, he has served as the CEO of Voltbek Home Appliances Private Limited.

His transition to lead the Room Air Conditioner Business at Voltas is a key strategic move for the company. The announcement was communicated to both BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited on December 26, 2025.
