REC incorporates three new transmission subsidiaries

REC Limited announced the incorporation of three new wholly-owned subsidiary companies on December 26, 2025. These new entities, Dholpur Power Transmission Limited, Jaisalmer Power Transmission Limited, and Ranipur Chunar Power Transmission Limited, are wholly-owned subsidiaries of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited.

Each newly incorporated company has an authorized capital of ₹5,00,000 and a paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000. These companies are newly incorporated and are yet to commence business operations. All three entities focus on the power sector, specifically intra-state transmission projects, and are 100% subscribed to their equity share capital in cash at face value.

RECPDCL will act as the bid process coordinator (BPC) for the selection of bidders for these projects under tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) guidelines. Dholpur Power Transmission Limited will manage a 400/220 kV Grid Sub-Station, Jaisalmer Power Transmission Limited will oversee a 765 kV GSS, and Ranipur Chunar Power Transmission Limited will be responsible for 220/132/33 kV AIS substations.
