Soma Papers to back subsidiary, proposes name change and relocation

Soma Papers and Industries Limited has issued a corporate guarantee of up to INR 95 crores to City Union Bank on behalf of its wholly-owned subsidiary, KS Smart Solutions Private Limited, to secure credit facilities. This guarantee was approved by the board of directors on December 25, 2025.

In a concurrent move, the company plans to change its name from "Soma Papers and Industries Limited" to "KS Smart Technologies Limited." Additionally, Soma Papers intends to relocate its registered office from Telangana to Tamil Nadu. These proposals are subject to approval by company members and relevant authorities at an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) scheduled for January 21, 2026.
