IndiGo stable, ready for holiday surge; expands with new A321XLR routes

InterGlobe Aviation, operating as IndiGo, confirmed continued operational stability as of December 24, 2025, with operations fully stabilized since December 9, 2025. The airline has been consistently flying 2,100-2,200 flights and serving over 1 million customers every three days across 138 operational destinations. This stability positions IndiGo to effectively manage the anticipated surge in demand during the holiday period.

Despite recent industry-wide disruptions due to dense fog, particularly in northern India, IndiGo maintained operational stability and is committed to minimizing future disruptions. Looking ahead, IndiGo is preparing for the arrival of its first Airbus A321XLR, which will facilitate medium-to-long-haul flights. The airline plans to launch new routes connecting Delhi and Mumbai with Athens starting January 23, 2026, and is evaluating additional domestic and international destinations as part of its fleet expansion.
