IndiGo faces GST demand, penalty of ₹1.3 million

InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) announced on December 25, 2025, the receipt of an order from the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, Excise and Taxation Department, Punjab. The order, received on December 24, 2025, pertains to a GST demand and an associated penalty of ₹13,28,255 for the financial year 2021-22.

The company stated that the department raised the GST demand along with the penalty due to alleged violations. However, IndiGo believes the order is erroneous and intends to contest it before the appropriate authority, supported by external tax advisors.

Despite the penalty, IndiGo anticipates no significant impact on its financials, operations, or other activities. This disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
